FORMULA 1: HAMILTON’S WOES CONTINUE!

On this the fabulous ‘rock’ this saying exists – Bad luck worse than obeah! There are firm believers and disciples of that faith and if they tell you a story or two, chances are you will be converted after the first uncanny tale.

F1 addicts will be easy to convert at present! Lewis Hamilton fans do not need a convincing tale – 2016 has done enough thus far! The current and defending F1 World Champion has had more misery in 2016 than a lottery winner who cannot find the ticket! His mind is being sought by several psychologists!

Hamilton, at the first Round in Australia, delivered the qualifying goods – P1. He also delivered at Round 2 – P1 (qualifying). But, possibly paralyzed by an unknown tropical bug, Hamilton has not been able to reap the success his ability deserves.

He was drop-kicked at the start in Australia. Eventually assisted by Alonso’s misfortune, he scampered to P2. Rosberg swam in the champagne. At Bahrain he was mugged and slapped by Bottas. His fighting spirit is intact though. He battled to P3. Rosberg drank more champagne.

China, for Hamilton, was a nightmare. Wes Craven visited and when he left, Hamilton was forced to start at the back of the pack – a move that Ross Brawn advises against – and we saw why. Hamilton picked up a few of his broken pieces and limped home to P7. Rosberg approached intoxication – more champagne.

Hamilton, a product of the United Kingdom, was hoping to find favor in Russia, but qualifying confirmed that his agony will be extended for an indefinite period! The Mercedes AMG Petronas outfit is not known to be one which allows errors to recur, so numerous questions will be asked. The defending World Champion’s machine failed during qualifying. Rosberg danced to P1.

Conspiracy theorists – where are you? What will unfold at the Russian GP? Will Hamilton’s luck change anytime soon?
